More Image Hosting Websites

Image hosting websites are popping up on the internet like the grass in my yard, now that the snow has melted and spring is finaly here! Not satisfied with the list of alternatives I gave you earlier? No worries, there’es plenty more of them, here’s another ten websites I’ve taken a tour to. The ones I’ll be posting about this time are bigger services than the previous, but they’re good regardless.

A simple and userfriendly image/video hosting website. Their servers are fast and their users are many, and you can easily both upload and browse through uploaded articles without registering. All images and videos uploaded can be viewed by the public, so no private files here

Image Cross ( http://www.imagecross.com )
A simple adfunded service aimed primarily to myspace users. After upload you’ll be provided with a code which you can add to your myspace, ebay, forums and more. Very conveniant for users not too familiar with internet codes. The filesize limit is 2,5MB, and you may upload an unlimited ammount of files as well.

Turbo Image Host ( http://www.turboimagehost.com )
A simple image uploading site on which you can sort your images as either private or public. Adult content is allowed here as well, and you can specify if your image is adult or not ( in other words, if it contains content unsuitable for youngsters ). You can upload many iamges at the same time, as well as entire galleries packed into archive formats ( zip, rar ), which can come in handy if you have lots of images to share. Overall it’s fast and userfrienndly site, reccomended.

A simple image upload form is provided on the main page, where you can browse either a .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .swf or .png under the filesize limit 1MB. More advanced archive uploading options are availible as well, and you may also register to better keep track of all your images. Alltogether the site is hosting more than a whooping 5 MILLION images!! So I suppose that classifies them as reliable then? If you’re interested, they also offer shared hosting and domain names, however not for free.

A simple image uploading service allowing you to upload the basic image formats with a max filesize of 2MB. You can easily resize your images, add them to a public gallery or add an optional password as well.

I realize I’ve been starting all the above descriptions with “A Simple” so I thought I’d write something different for this one. It’s not a too complex image hosting service, but basic and easy to use, allowing you to upload many files at the same time and resize the images if you so wish. The filesize limit is 3MB, and all the most known image formats are allowed.

Not owned by the same person as imagehosting.com, but with the same functions. Easily upload many images at the same time ( max 50 ) of the formats jpg .jpeg .bmp .gif .tiff .png .swf .psd .ico .avi .wmv .mpg .mpeg .mpg .mpeg .3gp .rmvb and .pdf. The filesize limit is 2MB per file. You can register to better keep track of all your uploads.

Easily upload files of the following formats: .jpg .zip .tif .bmp .jpeg .gif .png .swf .tiff .avi .wmv .mpg .mpeg .wma .mp3 .rar .pdf and .wma. The filesize limit is 10MB, and you may upload up to 100 files at the same time. Note that no adult content is allowed, other than that there aren’t any major restrictions.

A simple and goodlooking image hosting website, with a one field form as well as the ability to upload multiple files at once. As simple as it can get.

Need a place to host your images? If you want to send over a few images to friends, collegues, or to include in your blog, this is where you should go. We all know the giants: photobucket.com, imageshack.us, etcetc. But how about the smaller websites? There are plenty of those, and they tend to offer you a much better service than the giants do. There are much less waiting times, viewing restrictions and many of the features that other companies make you pay for are here free. The downside to these smaller services is that they’re more usntable, and the owners sometimes shut them down to to economical trouble or little traffic. Especially if they’re new and the owners have little knowledge on what hosting really demands. You can trust the older services though, and if you give the newer ones a chance they just might grow and live long. Here’s a list of sites I found while browsing around :

The easiest and fastest service you can find. No ads, no page clutter, fast servers, and easy links to your files. Try it and see for yourself, we skipped any unnescesary interface and aimed straight for perfection. I know I’m being a bit too happy about this service, but hey, I made it, haha. It’s been around for four years, and you can count on it to always be there when you need it.

Many image filetypes allowed, including flash files. Limit is 2MB. You can upload 5 files at a time and link to them easily. Overall fast servers and smooth scripting, reccomended! Note however that all files can be viewed by the public, so you shouldn’t go uploading anything private here!

Free Image Parking ( http://www.multihoster.tk )
1 MB filesize limit. Five files at a time. The most known image formats supported. The servers are fast too. It’s a new service, so it’s unsure how long it will stay though.

StageSoft Image Hosting ( http://www.stagesoft.co.cc/c2wimages )
Simple and fast. It’s a service for images only though, and with pretty tight restrictions. I know the script they use as well, which is infact the exact same script I use for my own image hosting service ( which you’ll see at the top of this list, vclick and compare ). The only difference between this service and one I run is that they cover the page with ads, I don’t. I have a bigger fileuploading limit, and my servers are faster. I still thought I’d list this option, just to be fair, but it’s not one I reccomend.

A new service, with fast servers and a very nice interface. You can upload images, archives, video or audio files. The restrictions are different for the different types. For images 5MB, For video 25MB, For audio 40MB, and for zips NO LIMITS! It’s definatly an uploading underdog, highly reccomended.

IMG Place ( http://www.imgplace.com )
Incredibly fast servers, simple interface and support for different file types as well. It’s big and it’s been around, and I highly reccomend it.

Large Image Host ( http://www.largeimagehost.com )
It’s not large, it’s friggin gigantic. You’ll love this place, they may have filesize restrictions ( which is as big as 10MB btw ), but other than that they have no limits at all! Upload all the images you like, and share with everyone everywhere. As a guest ( not logged in ) you can upload the common image types, but as a member you can upload entire galleries in zip/rar files, or multiple files at a time. This is another service I highly reccomend!

A good image hosting service. Fast, reliable, with not many limitations and a simple interface. It’s been around for a few years now.

Another good image hosting service, with lots of options and space. Reccomended.

If you’re looking for image hosting, this is the title that’ll catch your attention first, haha. It offers a good service as well, with both free and upgradable hosting accounts. With a free account you’ll be able to host up to 900MB of images, with the max size of 1MB each. The only downside is that there’s a 700MB transfer limit per month, but if you don’t plan on sharing all your images or that many images, than this is a service I reccomend!

myLot is a growing community of individuals from around the world who enjoy sharing information, meeting new people, and helping each other out. That’s what they mention on the website, but they forgot one thing about the community, you can make money too! As with quite a few other communities nowadays, the revenue generated by ads on this site is split for the user. Most still goes to the site owner, but you can gain some cash by being active and participating. Prices have stooped waaaay down since the community first popped up, but if you’re not registered anywhere else, and feel like chatting a bit, why not sign up here and earn a little at the same time.
