Making money off dummy domains is a simple and wellknown moneymaking method on the net. No doubt you’ve at least once or twice typed in the URL to a site, missed a letter or two, and ended up at a site consisting of all ads. Either text links, neatly organized in categories so they look less like ads, or a fullpage banner. It’s also common that people register the same domain names as existing sites, only to swap out the extension for another one in hopes that users will forget the sites original extension ( .org to .net – etc ) and end up there instead. There are large corporations who make money out of just this! And many smaller businesses/normal people as well. I’m here to tell you today about an online service that lets you easily display fullpage ads ( that you earn money from ) on any dummy domain names you register. The service is called Name Drive ( http://www.namedrive.com/ ), and it’s one of many with the same function. I haven’t tried the other ones though, so this is the only one I can speak of so far.

You just copy and paste the domains, add them to an account and get going! They take a small percentage of your income, but it’s worth it if you don’t want to go through the tiresome task of managing all those page ads yourself and fitting in visitor-relevant content, this is all done automaticaly here. You can also sell and buy existing domain names on this site through a simple online auction system, simple and easy. If you want to register domain names I reccomend using another provider for this though, you can at same websites buy domain names for as little as 3-6$ per year, on special occasions even less! So just generating a few hundred visitors for each domain, per year, will most likely cover your domain name costs.
